Become an AFEV volunteer
AFEV is a non-profit organization that fights social and educational inequality by supporting children, adolescents and young people in vulnerable situations.

Its main goal is volunteer work. social mentoring, which involves meeting with a child, adolescent or young person once a week (two hours) in the afternoon to walk, talk, teach, play, explore, share experiences and participate in cultural or sports activities. The goal is to strengthen their independence, self-esteem and skills by offering them a role model with whom they can learn and develop together.
Commitment that changes lives
This programme, aimed at volunteers aged 18 to 32, supports children aged 6 to 18 who find themselves in difficult and/or vulnerable situations.

With almost three out of ten children at risk of poverty, Spain having the highest rate of childhood mental health problems in Europe (21.4%) and Catalonia having one of the highest rates of early school dropouts (14.8%), your involvement can make a difference. Since 2008, AFEV has been working in Catalonia to promote youth solidarity as a force for social change.
